Glasgow 2014 had a presence at the opening of the Scottish Parliament (1st July), and participated in a procession down the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Volunteers represented the 71 Commonwealth Games Family countries to participate in this event, which was attended by Her Majesty the Queen, MSP’s and dignitaries.

The Sports Council for Glasgow was represented at this event and shown here are Executive Committee mebers Jim Smith and Alistair Paton with their 2014 T Shirts who carried the Bangladesh and Bermuda Flags in the procession
