Sport and Physical Activity Fund
The Sport and Physical Activity Fund provides £500-£2000 to voluntary sport organisations to establish new or enhance existing activities increasing the number of people being active in Glasgow.
Funding will be prioritised for applications that identify a community need, target under-represented groups and demonstrate the sustainability of the activity longer term. Organisations can only apply to this fund once in a 12-month period.
The Coach and Officials Award provides funding to support those volunteering in Glasgow to attend necessary qualifications building capacity within community sport. The funding is retrospective and will be paid upon course completion. There is a concession policy in place to support any eligible applicants with up front costs, where required.
Coaches attending a Level 1, Level 2 or equivalent course and Officials attending an introductory or full qualification can apply for up to £250. There is a £500 limit in any 12 month period for any club/ organisation within this fund.

Achievement of the Month Awards

Each Month the Sports Council for Glasgow selects a winner for it's Achievement of the Month Award from the nominations sent in by Members. Only those in Membership of the Sports Council for Glasgow can be nominated for this Award. The Committee reviews the nomination and the winner is presented with a Certificate in recognition of this achievement and also a £100 Decathalon Gift Card in conjunction with our partners in this Award the Decathalon Store in Braehead.
